Day 127

I received a parcel today in my pigeon hole

And in it contains the thing close to my heart
KFC coupons!!!!
Man, I wonder if I can try to confuse the
KFC guy in London

Jeep taught me the Raffles way of strategy planning.
Collating and studying the patterns and frequencies
of questions appearing in past year exam papers.

7 Years of proxy data has been studies and
from the break down analysis, 3 questions have been repeated
without fail every year

1. Ice-cores as a accurate proxy for climate change

2. Earth's orbit, procession and Eccentricity

3. Plate tectonics and its influences on abrupt climate
change over the Cenozoic period

Well.. I hope all turns out well tomorrow.
Its the toughest module for me in this term
My mind is full of Holocene and Plesitocene Cenozoic ice cores
and oxygen isoptopes... brain freeze sial

Day 126

To my friends across the North Atlantic Ocean
and the Arabian sea, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Though these 2 are twins, one look like a Korean,
the other look like a PRC
You map the 'Geography' to the face yourself yah?
But it should be pretty simple I guess

Its sad that I could not be there physically to
shake your hand, wish you, and pull your underwear.
But I wish my blessings would reach you at the other end
of the globe

Just my way of reminding you guys that we're 23 this year!
Not getting any younger...
May you 'Run with perserverance, the race marked out uniquely for you'
So on this special unique age of...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, David and Jonathan!

Day 125- Geographical Imaginations

‘It is probably now well accepted, though it is still important to argue, that a lot of our “Geography” is in the mind. That is to say we carry around with us mental images of the world, of the country in which we live (all those image of the North/South divide), of the street next door
(Geograpical Imaginations- Massey 2006)

Though I'm not a drinker, (infact I detest the bitter taste of alcohol)
I love the Absolut Vodka bottles.
Some of you might have seen my huge collection of
Absolut bottles on the steps of Yio Chu Kang Chalet
*But I'm still left with Absolut Pepper to complete my collection*

For the Shopaholics like.. Hitachi, Cho cho and the 2 SMU-grads
who just returned...

For the Black forest, hang in there yah

Man.. this picture is doing injustice to the
place close to my heart...

How do you like this Dad?

For my Korean look-alike friend in Manhatten
Its you lah David...

So What's your Geographical Imagination of Singapore?
Clean, boring, empty, predictable, colourless like the picture?

And Finally...

My Version

Day 124- The whole world is in London

I was woken up by a surprise call this morning at 1100hrs

'Wanna meet for lunch at 1300hrs later?' - Ms Tan Shu Yan

Shu Yan is my neighbour back in Singapore
along the thirsty Cactus road, also my
school mate back in J.C days in Anderson

Here's she on the left with her primary school classmate
Eunice on a Graduation trip to Europe with London
as their first stop

This is not Bangkok by the way
though it might look like... Look at the signboard,
its in pounds!!

Day 123

The sun is setting later and later..
At 2000hrs, the sun was as if its @ 1800hrs in Singapore
Many times, you look at the clock and get
a shock of your life

It just turned dark for about an 1hr?
and when I look at the clock, it was 2200hrs!!!
DArhh... haven't had my dinner yet

Too lazy to cook, decided to get out of the
house since I was stucked in the whole day.
The Jeep happened to be online and this psycho
also haven't had her dinner

We decided to meet @ Oxford street and whack
the Inn noodle which was mouth-blasting

Look at the Chilli, it was top-up to the brim
before we ambush it!

Day 122 - £60 richer

Warmed up the Bak-ku-teh last night,
cooked some white rice, and together with
some generous servings from our sponsors, lunch is ready

Did a test over the last 2 days @
Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience
5hrs- £60!! (SGD~$180)

I was given 2 tablet pills
of which 1 is a dummy pill, the other is Dopamine
After the medication I was given
some task to perform on the computer

Some interesting questions I was asked:

Choose between the 2 medical conditions you would
rather be diagnoised with

Bad breath vs Toothache

Snoring vs Itching

Sore eyes vs Epilepsy

On a scale of 1-6, rate how happy you are
to go on a vacation at the following venues

Dublin, Barcelona, Florence, Singapore, Malaysia, Israel....

Dopamine is a hormone and neurotransmitter occurring in a wide variety of animals,
including both vertebrates and invertebrates.
It is commonly associated with the pleasure system of the brain, providing feelings of enjoyment and reinforcement to motivate a person proactively to perform certain activities- wikipedia.org

£60 richer!! (High on dopamine)

Day 121

The Psychology Major has turned psycho
No amount of Psycho theory could explain
the behavior displayed below

'The next time you feel like crying, do a hand-stand'
(The wise words of 'Hua Zhe Lei'- F4)

Kellie returned from Singapore almost a month ago
and we have yet to meet up due to our
differences in schedules.

So all of us decided to all cook a Singaporean dinner
together last night

Whats on the menu?
Beef Chor Mee (Make do lah) + Bak Ku Teh
+ Japanese fish (All the way from SG, thanks to Kellie)

Our beef chor has since became 'Swedish meatballs'
Inspiration from the Jeep

There's a Chinese saying
'Kids by the side of their parents never grow up'
Somehow to a certain extent, its true. Its until
you are being pushed to the edge that you got to pick up
the ladle and make things work out for yourself

And gradually, we all learn
