Day 55

There was an Islam exhibition in school today.
And our Band's name was being featured... but not the way we wanted it..

Messenger of Allah???

Messenger of Jesus Christ

My lunch box (Containing Mushroom soup glass noodles) leaked out, wet and stained my whole bag. Guess the coconut trees were sway-ing from left to right today.

Met Charity over lunch and we went to Shop for Gordon's Birthday present. We shall reveal what we bought him in the next post!

Looking like a stuffed Penguin with my Windbreaker.

In the shop, while I was queueing up, someone came over to me and asked me
'Hello, are you Sergeant Angus?' Boy was I shocked! I thought S.A.F sent spies to arrest me for whatever reasons.

And how Punk'd is that? Meeting my recruit in the streets of UK.
Wei Chao and I.Well, we're all civilians now. Carry on 20 please.

Explored the Geography department restricted areas today after the lecture. No wonder the UCL Geog department is so well known. They really have the solid facilities that many Universities do not have.

Tried taking a picture through my room peep-hole today when I heard some noises outside. Peggy and Amandine in conversation. Man, Peeping tom.

Over dinner tonight, I loaded 'I not stupid 2' and watched it on Crunchyroll.com
Listening to the familiar Singaporean 'Lingo-s' 'Hokkien' and watching the setting make me miss home so so much. For a moment, I felt I was lost in that space and back in Singapore. It was till I stood up and go for a 'Pee' break that I realised
'Hey Angus, you're in England.'

It was the first time I watch the film, and it was fantastic. Never failed to make me Lau Pak Sai. It triggered me to some thoughts as well.

1. It reminded and anchored deep in me once again the 'Calling' from God into the
teaching industry. The satisfaction in making a difference in the lives of
students. Touching lives, changing hearts.

I'm not a teacher as yet and might not understand the tremendous work stress that a teacher goes through. But for those of you out there, Candice, Pei Shan or who all who are to come, I pray that the satisfaction and fulfillment in touching these little lives will overpower, and more than offset your crazy schedules, mountain heavy workloads, unreasonable expecatations from your department and heart pain grieves from students. Whether you are liking it (riding on the clouds) or not (Struggling to keep afloat) , you are placed there for a time such as this, divinely planned and fashioned by God, and no one could replace you to do a better job.

2. There was this part that the 'little boy' in the film was chosen to play the lead
role in a school play. He wanted so much for his parents to be there to watch
him but due to their busy work schedules, they could not confirm their
attendance. As the tickets to the play were running out, the little boy starved
over lunch and even stole money to save enough to purchase the tickets.
When the parents found out about the theft. They reprimanded him, beat him and
asked him 'Why did you choose to steal? Are Pokemon cards that important to you?'
The boy replied 'I just wanted to use that money to buy 1-hr of your time for you
to come watch me in the school play.'

My heart broke at that point. Jesus gave his son, so that I could have that relationship with him, so that I could spend that time with him. But so often, I was too bothered with my own agendas that I could not 'confirm my attendance.'

Day 54

I Put on my FULL armour and decided to give Mum a call today. Ready to be taken down alive regarding the $600 phonebill, prepared for the death sentence.
BUT. Never did she for one second kick a fuss over that issue or scold me regarding the bill. I was so Punk'd. Made me feel even worst! Thanks for your Kind understanding Mum. Lau Pak Sai.

I sat beside the BIGGEST Black Papa in the whole auditorium in Kensington Temple
(A G-12 Church in UK) today.. I guess he was easily 2metres tall. Be it standing up in Praise and Worship or sitting down for sermon, I was so squashed.

During the sermon, this man stood up, pointed at Pastor Colin Dye and shouted as he walked off the church building 'Don't believe whatever this guy is preaching! He's deceiving us!!!... Love is not..... ) and he disappeared off the door.

But that also coincided with the exact time when Ps Collin was all fired up and passionate in his annointed message. He didn't seem abit affected by what was going on, and the people (80% of Black mamas and papas) cheered and applaused by the living word that came out from his mouth. More than cool sial.. The sermon was solid. I would very much like you guys to watch it on video. Its on the issue of 'The flesh that longs for temporal satisfaction' V.S 'The Spirit that desires for eternal pleasure.' I managed to get a copy of the video sermon. So ask me for it so that I could send it to you. I'm sure it will bless you Large large as it has blessed me Big big.

Learnt something on the difference between tithes and offerings.

Tithes- The 1st 10% of your salary (Non-negotiable)
i.e If you earn $10,000, Tithe = $1000. If you fail to do so, you ROBBED GOD "Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.- Malachi 3:8
This 10% belongs to GOD, and its not up to you to decide HOW and WHATGOD should do with it.
You can't say 'The first 10% of my Salary I sponsor Angus for his UK trip as my tithings. (Though it would be really nice of you. It is not tithing!!!!)
Remember! Its the first 10% of what you earn and you just leave it in the church and thats that. Don't decide for God how to use that Tithe.
Sometimes I will think to myself 'I donate $5 to Old folks home and take that as my Tithings..' Sorry, no count. That would be counted towards 'Offerings' instead.
I hope you understand the difference.

After Lunch, Charity and I headed to Portebello market, since it was just the next street down.

Vintage bags! I wish I could find Jay Chou's 'Secret' school bag here. I believe ppl like TY, Eleta and Daniel BuangCarLee (Pronounced as BuangKali) would love love these cases and bags.

The FIFA handbook that should be redeemed by President Tay Yuan Zhi.

Hillsong London LIVE! Recording

Individual Solo-s

Acoustic

Electric

Piano

It was an AWESOME experience to be involved in the LIVE recording. I always had the impression that the band, vocalist, worship leaders would be FLAWLESS when it comes to the recording, but just like anyone of us, they also played wrong notes, had minor pitching problems. But din hear any one of them go flat though.

The truck was ready transport the tear down the equipment.

Went to Charity's hall because she wanted to be Charitable to give me some Bak Gua that her friend brought from Singapore.

Landed up watching 2 episodes of this very very super lame Anime that she showed me. 'Ouran Host Club' I'm not an Anime person, aside from old school stuff like 'Totoro' 'Laputa.' But this one was so super LAME that I love it so much!

On my way home, I snapped this picture outside 'Marks and Spencer'

When I turned back, I was shocked to see Gordon walking towards my direction.
I was like 'Where are you going so late in the night?'
He smiled and pointed to the direction of our mission field.
nd so here we go, Operation Vulture 3

Shot delicated to Mum. Please Mum, Thank you!

Day 53

1000hrs

Thanks to Kellie's persistant Sms Artillery (Arty) bombardment (With instigation by TY the Arti farty man) I woke up to attend Virtual Webcast Cell group through Skype.

It brought me so much Joy to be 'back' in the family again. I might not be physically there, but I could feel the unity in the presence of GOD as I closed my eyes to pray together with every one of you.

With many Thanks to Narash who took the initiative to speak into the mic to convey the message when I could not hear clearly.

Thanks for showing me your Nostrils Daniel. It was rather clean (Compliments frm UK)

And thanks for all your prayers and blessings through the webcam!

And finally thanks for not forgetting my 'birthday' and risking the fire-alarm!

1930hrs
On our way to Joseph and Charity's birthday dinner, the tube broke down for the
103rd time. Gordon and I took the chartered bus by the london transport authority to the nearest Light rail station at 'Canary Wharf' (London's CBD)

The background shows 'The Global Financial Capital.' Yet the irony is that the 'objects' displayed in the pictures are victims of the Tube break down.

Nobody else but us in the Light Rail
