I set off to Tamara's place to help in the food preparation at 1pm.
I know the bus to get there, but had no idea where to drop because it was a different bus from the last time I took there.
I had so much stuff with me, my guitar, pedals and the amplifier.
It was so heavy.
I was trying to look out for signboards on the bus and started to panick
when the journey became slightly long...
With such a heavy load, I really do not wish to
risk dropping at the wrong stop... but yet, I knew I had to get off.
A little girl was playing with the bell and the bus driver stopped,
but no one got off the bus...
'God is that a sign for me to get my butts off the bus?'
I did... only to realise I was surrounded by houses i have never seen before.
I had no idea where to walk, which way to head or whatsoever.
A raindrop fell upon my head and that got me desperate
I was about to ring up Tamara to let her know I can't make it
down to help them with the food...
Somehow, I was reminded of the video in the previous post
'Daddy knows the way, we're gonna make it, I love you buddy.'
Those words kept ringing in my head.
I look forward and without knowing where it was heading to, I walked on,
walked on.. and walked on...
In less then 3 minutes, I was out of the maize and recognised
some familiar buildings that led me to my destination. I was so punk'd
It was OCF's easter event tonight and every group was suppose to prepare 2 dishes.
My group was doing 'Banana cake' and 'Grilled chicken drumsticks'
Tamara the chef
Sam and I just help in peeling the parsleys
mixing the bread crumbs and cheese
and coating the drumsticks
First batch of chickens that were sent into the grill
I had to leave earlier to attend a last rehearsal
before the actual event tonight and on the way,
I saw Vandetta.. not one, but a few.. on strike!
It was cool to be working together with youths in a event for youths
Trusting each other to be responsible for their given tasks
Thats Gordon! Involving in the skit for the story of the Prodigal son
We're at the mercy of this 2 people. Cannot afford to offend them
Charity and Kelvin, the sound and video masters
This taylor cost £3000!!!!!! SGD$9000
Taylor 514ce-L10
Owned by Clarence the guitar man
His five finger picking technique is fantastically fantastic!
Must try to 'kapo' some of it before I leave London
Melvin, the keyboardist for the night. Shuai Ge
Toys of the big boys
After the event, we headed for the feast!
By the time I arrive across the dining hall, all the drumstick
that my group made were gone. I didn't even get to try one!
The Dessert section
'Di-song' the 'Prodigal son'
I went back to hall to pack up my stuff,
and also, to take some photos...
of people doing funny stuff...
Look at the girl in purple,
for a moment, I thought Camy teleported to London
While we were packing, we picked up the guitar and played some songs
En qi, Daryl, Chaity, Wen ling, clarence and I each took turns
to share or play some of the songs that we hold close to our hearts
And when it was my turn,
I shared with them 'Through it all'
One song that is very dear to me,
and as we sang together, the volume got louder and louder...
The next moment I opened my eyes, I was shocked to see a big group of people
that have joined into this circle, lifting up Holy hands just singng praises
and that went on for about another 15-20 minutes.
It was beautiful
