Day13- Stress sial

Angus Smith- Father of Acid Rain

The Scottish chemist coined the phrase and introduced it in his 1872 book Air and Rain: The Beginnings of a Chemical Climatology. From data collected in Britain and Germany over two decades, Angus found sulfuric acid present in rainfall at levels as high as 21 parts per million. Angus also noted that “the stones and bricks of buildings, especially under projecting parts, crumble more readily in large towns where coal is burnt.” He attributed this to “the slow but constant action of acid rain.” It wasn’t until the 1970s that acid rain’s widespread effects on lakes and forests were fully recognized.

Learnt this in Lesson this morning. Never knew the 'founder' of Acid Rain has such a nice name.... Hahhahaha

Nothing of much interest today. Just that as the day draw nearer for module confirmation, I'm getting more stressed. I'm still not sure of which English Linguistic modules to do.... Every module here, be it Geography or Linguistics seem to require prior knowledge from previous modules. Its as if these modules are link to a certain module that one have to take in the previous semester. As a result of this, I get very worried and stressed out when I see alien unfamiliar diagrams and terminologies in class. The lectures here are much more in depth, hope all goes well.
